Abstract
The aim of this study is to understand the faculty’s attitudes towards diversities according to students’ ideas. This study was conducted at a state university in Turkey. The research design of the study is the case study from qualitative research models. The data was gathered through semistructured interviews with students who are senior class students. The researchers interviewed with 18 students. At the end of the descriptive analysis, three themes were found out, which were “The colors of rainbow”, “Is it seeing colors or color blindness?”, and “The light of rainbow: The diversity manager”. It was found out that some of the faculty members have positive attitudes towards diversities, while others have negative attitudes. Also it was understood that students believe that a university administrator who manage diversities should have some personal characteristics and show some behaviors.
