THE SCALE OF SELF-EFFICACY PERCEPTION OF MUSIC TEACHERS ON TEACHING MUSIC TO STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: A STUDY ON RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY

Abstract
Students with special needs-SSN get different classes from their teachers in school settings. One of these classes is music class and music instructors teach the SSN with their self sufficiency perceptions in order to train them in the field of music. In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale of self sufficiency perception for the teachers of music in order to reveal their their capabilities of teaching the SSN. In the stage of development of this scale 253 teachers took part in the study and in real application, 227 teachers have participated. The likert scale of six levels was analysed by factorial analysis and KMO value was 0.9, Crombach alpha value was 0,9. These results proved that the scale of self sufficiency perceptions of the teachers is valid and reliable and ready for use in the educational settings.
