Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the perception level of the secondary school teachers about the classroom management skills in terms of gender, age, academic subject, educational status and years of service. The research is a descriptive study in the survey model. The universe of the research is constituted secondary school teachers who are working in in public schools in six towns of Sakarya districts. The sample was selected from the universe by simple random sampling method based on the principle of unbiasedness. In the analysis of the obtained data, descriptive statistical techniques were used in accordance with the problem situations studied in the research. Secondary school teachers classroom management skills were done very well in general. It has been determined that the teachers in different academic subject differ according to the level of classroom management skill perception and that vocational school teachers use plan-program activities and physical regulation in class management more efficiently than the other academic subjects. In terms of variables such as gender, age, educational status and years of service, the level of perception of skill in class management did not significantly differ.
