ANALYSIS OF THE STUDIES IN TURKEY REGARDING REFLECTIVE THINKING APPLICATIONS IN TEACHER TRAINING

Abstract
In this study, graduate theses indexed in YÖK (Higher Educational Council) National Thesis Center and research articles in national journals indexed in ULAKBİM (Turkish Academic Network and Information Center) Social Sciences Databases and Google Scholar search engine were examined. For this purpose, 35 graduate dissertations and 19 articles were analyzed. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that the publications were mostly published in Turkish and the studies increased after 2008 and 2012. The subjects of the studies were generally focused on the effect of some practices on reflective thinking and the effect of reflective thinking on some dependent variables. The studies were often designed with qualitative method and case study. In these studies, it was determined that documents and scales were used as data sources. In general, content analysis, t-test and non-parametric methods were used as data analysis methods. When the results of the studies were examined, it was stated that the practices performed generally had a positive effect on reflective thinking.
