Abstract
In this study, “Solar System and Beyond: Space Puzzle Unit” was instructed with traditional teaching and drama method. In the 2014-2015 academic year, 44 7th Grade students enrolled in a public school in Balıkesir participated in the study. Quasi-experimental research design with pre- test/post-test control group was used. As the data collection tools; Our World and Universe Conception test and semi-structured interview questions were used. According to the analysis, the students who were instructed with drama method scored significantly higher in the tests than control group students that received traditional teaching. In addition, as for gender, male students’ post tests scores of the drama group were significantly higher than the male students’ post tests scores in the control group.
