Abstract
Multigrade classes are classes that are based on the co-education of more than one class under the supervision of a single teacher. The peculiar structure of the multigrade classes also brings the concept of class management to the forefront. The purpose of this stduy is to examine the classroom management competencies of the multigrade classroom teachers and their views on classroom management. The study was conducted using a mixed method in which a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods is used. As a result of the study, it was determined that the classroom management competency beliefs of multigrade classroom teachers are high. It was found that the classroom management competencies of the multigrade classroom teachers did not show any significant difference according to the variable of gender. When multigrade classroom teachers views on classroom management are examined, it is seen that they did rigorous work on the provision of physical discipline and management of instructional processes. In addition to this, it was also determined that there are some other variables in which teachers have difficulty in terms of classroom management.
