Abstract
In this research, it is aimed to evaluate the opinions of pre-school and classroom teachers on compulsory preschool education. In this context, the opinions of the teachers about the readiness for compulsory preschool education, the effect of compulsory pre-school education on the students who will start primary school, and the adequacy of the current program for compulsory preschool education are discussed. In this study, the phenomenology of the design has been used. The study group has been determined according to the maximum variety of sampling methods for purposes. The study group is consisted of 10 preschool teachers and 10 classroom teachers. As a result of the research; It is thought that it will contribute to the development of self-care skills, language acquisition and development by establishing the infrastructure for students who will start 1st grade if they take into consideration the regional differences in compulsory preschool education, include practical and playful activities, give more space to out-of-class activities and support socialization.
