Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate pre-service Information Technology and Software teachers’ teaching self-efficacy beliefs and self-regulation skills, and to examine the correlation between the two variables. With this purpose, the correlational study method was adopted and data was collected from the students of the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) using Teachers’ Self Efficacy Scale and Perceived Self-Regulation Skills Scale. According to the results depending on the descriptive (mean, standard deviation, correlation) and inferential statistics (Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests) it was found that pre-service teachers had high teaching self-efficacy perception and self-regulation skills. Additionally, it was concluded that there was a positive, significant and moderate correlation between pre-service teachers’ teaching self-efficacy perception and self-regulation skills.
