    THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOLS’ DNA PROFILES AND TEACHERS’ ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOURS

  • Abstract
    The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between schools’ DNA profiles and teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors. Relational screening model was used in the research. The target population of the study consisted of 3986 teachers and for the research, 457 teachers who worked in primary, secondary and high schools in Uşak. Convenience sampling was used in this research. The data were collected by using organizational DNA Scale and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour Scale. In the analysis of the data; arithmetic mean, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. According to the results of the research, the level of teachers ‘perception of organizational DNA is moderate. Teachers’ perception of resilient organization profile, which is one of the healthy organization profiles, is high. Teachers’ perception of organizational citizenship behavior level is high. According to the results of the study, there is a positive moderate-level relationship between teachers’ organizational DNA perceptions for healthy organizations (resilient, military precision and just-in-time organizations) and organizational citizenship behavior, and there is a negative moderate-level relationship between teachers’ organizational DNA perceptions for unhealthy organizations (fits and starts, over managed and passive-aggressive organizations) and organizational citizenship behavior. According to the research, resilient organization and passive aggressive organization profiles in secondary schools and resilient organization, military precision organization and passive aggressive organization profiles in high schools predict teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviour in a meaningful way. While healthy resilient and military precision predict teachers organizational citizenship behaviour in a positive way, passive aggressive organization predicts in a negative way.
