Abstract
This study aims to reveal the opinions of science teachers about the learning outcomes of the unit Structure and Properties of Matter in the 2013 Science Teaching Program. Teachers views were examined according to the variables of gender, professional seniority, educational level, graduation branch, participation in the in-service training courses related to the program, and the graduated faculty. The sample of the study consisted of 115 science teachers working in a secondary school in Ankara and 88 science teachers working in Adana and Şanlıurfa in the Spring Term of the 2015- 2016 and 2017-2018 academic years. In this study, in which the survey model was used, Personal Information Form and Teachers Opinions Inventory were used as data collection tools. It was determined that the opinions of the science teachers about the outcomes of the Structure and Properties of Matter unit showed a statistically significant difference according to the provinces and this difference was in favor of teachers in Adana and Şanlıurfa. On the other hand, it was determined that opinions did not show a statistically significant difference in terms of the other variables discussed in the study. Furthermore, outcomes were determined to be achievable.
