    THE VIEWS OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND TEACHERS RELATED TO NORM STAFF APPLICATIONS AT SCHOOLS IN THE SCOPE OF HUMAN PLANNING

  • Abstract
    In this study, it is aimed to determine the situation related to norm practices at schools, problems encountered in practices and their suggestions for solution of the problems. Eight school principals and ten teachers were reached in the study, in which the basic interpretive pattern, one of the qualitative research patterns, was used. The data obtained according to the opinions of the school principals and teachers were arranged with the descriptive and content analysis technique. As a result of the research, it was determined that the criteria such as “course hours”, “number of students”, “number of classrooms”, “elective courses” and “criteria in the regulation” were mentioned in the planning of the norm staff. It was observed that principals have a more effective role in determining norm staff but teachers do not participate in the process much. It has been concluded that there are problems in the norm staff calendar, elective courses, changes in the number of students, and becoming excess norms. According to the results of the research, considering the opinions of all members of the school and all the variables of the system, the staff can be planned for the norm. In addition, in order to prevent the reduction of out-of-norm accumulation, intra-provincial transfer regulations can be updated. Separate plans can be offered for teachers who will be more than the norm due to the changes to be made during lesson hours.
