Abstract
This study aims to determine the curvilinear and linear relationships between life satisfaction and mindfulness in adult individuals. The sample consisted of 376 (Female: 194, Male: 182) adult participants living in Central Anatolia. In the analysis, it was found that marital status significantly differentiated life satisfaction scores. On the other hand, gender, place, level of education, and perceived parental attitudes did not significantly differentiate life satisfaction scores. While there was a significant relationship between the mindfulness of single participants and life satisfaction, there was no significant relationship between married participants. In the analysis of the data, only the scores of the single participants were included in the regression analysis since there was no significant relationship between the mindfulness of married individuals and life satisfaction. In the regression analysis, a positive linear relationship was found between life satisfaction and mindfulness of the participants. On the other hand, there was no curvilinear relationship. To increase the life satisfaction of individuals, to provide preventive and protective mental health services in the activities to provide mindfulness-raising activities are seen as a pragmatic attitude. Therefore, mindfulness-based practices and psychological counseling interventions should be increased. It is important to conduct educational activities that develop mindfulness in educational environments. In addition, it is important that parents adopt this attitude when raising their children.
