Abstract :
Electromagnetic launchers which require the use of large amounts of energy will almost certainly require that energy stores be distributed along their length. For a railgun launcher, the nested chevron rail construction will enable a launcher to be produced in which most of the switching requirements for the launcher/energy store system are met automatically.
