Abstract :
The energy crisis of the 1970´s, perhaps fortunately, is occurring at a time when the computational power of the computer is far enough advanced to contribute significantly to the solution of the resulting problems. Four technical sessions at NCC last month sampled some of these contributions and forecast some of the requirements energy problems will place on computers in the decade ahead.
