Abstract :
The Co sublattice contributions to the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Y-Co compounds are calculated. The point charge model was used, with account on shielding effects, Obtained temperature dependences of the anisotropy agree well with measured bulk anisotropy. Co contributions correlate with interpretation of observed Co NMR spectra.
