Abstract :
For the first time a monolithic Q-switched Nd:MgO:LiNbO3 single-mode waveguide laser is reported. 1.085 mu m Q-switched pulses of 2.5 W peak power and 1.5 ns width were obtained for approximately 10 mW of 0.814 mu m coupled pump power.
