Abstract :
A new method of analysis is presented to tackle periodic boundary-value problems associated with SAW devices. The solution technique relies on periodic Green functions and the method of weighted residuals. Employing this method, the concept of electrostatic fundamental charge distribution in SAW devices is generalised to include the piezoelectric interaction.
