Abstract :
A study of the type of engineering graduate who will most satisfactorily meet the demands of industry and will be best adapted to present social conditions is contained in this paper. As a result of this analysis, changes in the type of college instruction now given are proposed. It is pointed out that the majority of students should be given a broad education which co??rdinates instruction in science, engineering, economics, and psychology, so as to fit the graduate for the managerial positions in industry; while a smaller group should be given specialized scientific and engineering instruction.
