Abstract :
A jitter suppression method using simple pattern inversion at each regenerator is proposed. It is theoretically shown that this method is very effective for systematic jitter suppression. The results of a signal circulating experiment using a 446 Mbit/s optical regenerator agree with the theoretical estimation.
