Abstract :
Currently available CAD (computer-aided design) systems on electromagnetics use the technique of shifting a known demagnetization curve of the second quadrant to the origin and introduce a suitable current-carrying coil for modelling permanent magnets. A test of the validity of this technique is reported that was based on the simulation of a rotating magnetobase. The behavior of the torque of a permanent magnet with its rotation has been calculated using the technique and compared to experimental results. The comparison confirms the validity of this technique
