Abstract :
A Co-P plated floppy disk has been manufactured. The design concept of the disk is described. Metallic recording medium enables one to achieve higher recording density as compared with conventional floppy disk media. The performances of the metallic floppy and γ-Fe2O3covered disks are compared. Above 450 BPM linear recording density can be obtained at D50using Co-P film floppy disk.
