  • Abstract
    Analytical calculations of write induced separation losses in magnetic recording are presented. The calculations have been performed using the model proposed by VanHerk and Wesserling. The results indicate that for a layer of uniform magnetization throughout, the write induced separation losses are influenced only by the separation dependence of the magnetic field of the head.
