Abstract :
The use of magnetic materials near the surface of current carrying conductors is of interest. A very noticeable change in the current distribution in flat conductors is found using rectangular magnetic bars. The current tends to concentrate at the air-gaps between the magnetic bars. Experimental results closely confirm the theory.
