  • Abstract
    A recent increase of failures of high voltage potential transformers, due to insulation breakdowns, cause great concern in the utility industry. The need for in situ testing of installed instrument transformers to confirm the loss or remaining quality of the insulation material has led to the adoption of well-established laboratory test methods for applications in electrical substations.
