Abstract :
Initial susceptibilities of rapidly quenched amorphous magnetic materials have been measured over the frequency range from 1 kHz to 1 GHz at room temperature. Materials were amorphous magnetic ribbons of Fe5Co70Si15B10, Fe4Co66Si17B13, and Fe40Ni38Mo4B18. At frequencies above 300 MHz, resonance phenomena (sharp drop of the susceptibility to zero) have been observed for all materials examined. The resonance frequencies agree well with calculated values for ferromagnetic resonance.
