Abstract :
A continuum model for analyzing a Permalloy pattern in magnetic bubble field access devices is presented. The model modifys Matsutera´s model [1] by expanding discretization method to making use of triangular prism elements or arbitrary quadrangular prism elements. Potential well of an asymmetric chevron pattern calculated by this model is more similar to the collapse field change value than that by the model that uses only square prism elements. The potential well contour maps for corner part of a minor loop are also shown. The detector signals calculated by this model agree qualitatively with the values measured.
