Abstract
A model of the magnetization of polycrystalline textured materials has been suggested. The model takes into account a single domain structure in the grain and the demagnetizing field from the neighbouring grains. The changes in magnetization of the bulk specimen are due to improvements of 180° domain walls and to the rotation of the macrodomains. The model has been used to analyse the magnetization changes in various directions in textured Fe-Si steel and to study the effect of strain on the magnetization at low values of the field strength.
