Abstract :
Active compensation is a successful microwave circuit technique previously developed to improve the gain-bandwidth performance of reflection amplifiers under small-signal conditions. The letter describes how this technique can be used to enhance the linearity of IMPATT amplifiers under large-signal conditions.
