Abstract :
Magnetic properties are reported for thin Fe80B14.5Si3.5C2amorphous alloy ribbons between 13 and 83μm thick under step dB/dt (constant voltage) magnetization. Dynamic magnetization curves from negative remanence and half-cycle losses are given for magnetization rates between 20 and 1500 T/ms. The dependence of these properties on ribbon thickness is discussed in terms of saturation wave theory, which describes the rapid magnetization of conducting ferromagnetic ribbons.
