  • Abstract
A magnetoelastic wave element using amorphous ribbons carrying the field induced anisotropy is proposed. The (Fe0.5Ni0.5)80B20ribbon is used in this element as a medium of MEW propagation and a change rate of delay of about 20 % at a frequency of 100 kHz can be obtained. The change rate of delay increases monotonically with increasing bias field lower than an anisotropy field Ha. This delay characteristic can be explained well by results from theoretical analyses.
