Abstract
Eddy current losses have been determined with the phenomenon of the skin effect for single and multidomain wall models taken into account. The domains were assumed to be separated by 180° Bloch walls. The calculations made possible plotting the dependence of eddy current losses on the domain width/sheet thickness ratio for different values of the skin effect coefficient. The results obtained are consistent with those provided by Agarwal and Rabins [3] for the single-domain wall model and with those presented by Pry and Bean [2] for the multidomain wall model. A value of the skin effect coefficient was found for which the skin effect considerably affects eddy current losses.
