Abstract :
A lossless dispersion compensating fibre module employing a high-speed automatic gain control scheme is demonstrated. The gain is controlled by monitoring total input and output signal powers and only adjusting pump power at the shortest wavelength. The static and dynamic gain excursion is suppressed effectively.
