Abstract :
IEEE Communications Magazine started a new series on automotive networking this year, with the first issue published in May 2008. After the announcement of the new series, we received a large number of paper submissions. Most of them are still under review. In this second issue of the Automotive Networking Series, we are pleased to present five articles addressing important topics related to secure vehicular communications and vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) technologies.
