Abstract :
A test is reported of reading out the scintillation light signal from a scintillating fiber by using a multianode photomultiplier tube (MAPMT) Hamamatsu R3384 M256DX. An investigation is made on the spatial distribution of the anode response and the effects of a magnetic field on the crosstalk and the pulse height of the anode signals of the MAPMT. It is observed that a magnetic field decreases the crosstalk and increases the pulse heights significantly
