Abstract :
The design and construction of a position-tuned multilayer dielectric interference filter for use in the 1.25¿1.30 ¿m wavelength range is described. Results showing a significant improvement in performance over currently available devices are reported. The performance of this filter in a single-mode to single-mode fibre component is also described with peak efficiencies >80% and ¿¿¿(FWHM)<13 nm.
