Abstract :
This paper considers a head configuration proposed by Shelledy and Brock [1], and we describe an improved nonlinear model to describe its operation and aid in its design. Predictions of the bias field are shown for a few designs, the effects of saturation are discussed, and predictions of signal amplitude and distortion are made, with comparisons, to actual head performance.
