Abstract :
A formulation for electromagnetic scattering from a regular grid of thin parallel wires is developed. The wires are characterized by a series impedance per unit length that itself is a periodic function. The final result is a formula for the effective surface transfer impedance that relates the averaged fields at the grid. Under certain limiting situations, earlier known results are obtained.
