Abstract
The choice of antenna systems for single-hop HF circuits is shown to be dependent on both prevailing ionospheric conditions and on the geographical location of the terminals. Both northern hemisphere and equatorial circuits require less relative antenna system bandwidth than do those in the southern hemisphere.
