Abstract :
Numerous algorithms based on correlation matrix eigenvalues have been developed to estimate the number of paths in a multipath environment. To improve their efficiency, the use of the interlacing properties of the eigenvalues both of a Hermitian matrix and of its main submatrices is proposed.
