Abstract :
The relationship between subjective workload and human behaviors is considered. A model of the dynamics of this relationship is proposed. Results of three simulation experiments are reported that show simple linear identification algorithms are surprisingly robust in online identification of noisy, nonlinear versions of this model. The implications for developing adaptive aiding and decision support systems are noted
