Abstract
We employ the least square principle to deal with the Neumann boundary condition on curved boundaries in a finite difference program making use of square meshes. Several possible ways of doing so are proposed and investigated by numerical experimentation. The best of them are shown to be superior in accuracy to similar methods not using least square techniques.
