Abstract :
The postprocessing for depicting the magnetic flux density distribution calculated by finite-element analysis strongly influences the accuracy of the distributed density. In the present work, an accurate display method for the density distribution calculated from the magnetic vector potential is proposed. The accuracy of the proposed method and ordinary methods are investigated quantitatively. The proposed approach is shown to be superior to that which uses magnetic vector potential as an unknown variable. The continuity of magnetic flux density at the boundaries of the elements adjoining each other is satisfied
