  • Abstract
Opening (short-circuiting) a series (parallel) resistor-capacitor or resistor-inductor subnetwork in an RLC network produces a common factor in the driving-point function. Synthesising the reduced network results in a set of initial element values for the original network. Coefficient matching and an iterative numerical technique then yield the actual element values
