The induced-field ratios (IFR) of conducting cylinders of a triangular cross section have been calculated. When the width of the cross-section is in the range of 1-2 wavelengths, the

-wave IFR\´s are substantially less than the corresponding values for square or circular cross sections. From the standpoint of RF aperture blocking of a reflector antenna, the triangular cross section thus offers an advantageous cross section for feed-support struts.
