Resolution Enhancement in a 3 Chip RGB Camera Using Offset Technique

Already a few years after the fundamental development of solid state imagers these devices represent a serious competition to conventional pick up tubes. While the use of imagers in colour TV cameras is possible with some restrictions in the resulting picture quality today, the solid state sensors cannot meet the requirements of the present studio technique by simple substitution of tubes by imagers.
