Abstract :
An active anti-vibration platform using magnetic mounts is described in which two sources of interaction affecting the platform´s performance are investigated. Multivariable frequency response techniques are used to design non-interactive flux density control loops for the vertical and lateral axes of an individual mount. When the mounts are operated as a combined pair, interaction arising as a result of mismatch in the mounts´ parameters is shown to be reduced by applying angular rate feedback.
