Abstract :
Dynamic operation of Co-base amorphous soft magnetic cores with constant current flux reset has been studied up to 1MHz for the first time by means of Control Magnetization Curve(CMC). Measurements are carried out with a high speed switching circuit. CMCs for tape wound cores with different tape thickness are examined and compared with that for a ring core and a multi-layer thin film core. Quality of amorphous cores for high frequency application has been clarified and the experimental results are useful for designing core devices.
