Abstract :
A spectral-domain approach to the inverse problem is considered. The permittivity profile of an inhomogeneous lossless dielectric slab is reconstructed from multifrequency measurements of the reflection coefficient. Simple and easy to use analytical relations are obtained. A simple experimental setup has been used, and the results obtained are in good agreement with those predicted by the theory.
