Abstract :
Measurements of antenna temperature taken under dry cloudless conditions with a conical horn-reflector operating at 20.6 and 31.65 GHz are presented. The behavior of the temperature versus elevation angle is identified with the spillover characteristic of the antenna. An absorbent cowling is found to improve the performance for measurement of atmospheric absorption.
