Abstract :
Magnetoelastic Love waves (m.e.l.w.s), propagating in a piezoelectric-layered metal-coated magnetic substrate, may be amplified by interaction with carrier waves in an adjacent semiconductor. The amplification characteristics of m.e.l.w.s. in the magnetoelastic coupling region between magnetostatic surface waves and piezoelectric Love waves, are presented here using numerical calculations.
